Last updated: August 12, 2026. Rudder is open-source software developed and maintained by Foundria, LLC. This policy explains the data boundaries of the Rudder Desktop app, Rudder accounts, optional product analytics, and Rudder’s public website and documentation.

Local workspace data

Rudder stores organizations, goals, issues, chats, run transcripts, artifacts, settings, and runtime state in the Rudder installation controlled by the user. This workspace data is not automatically uploaded to Foundria. Credentials for local runtimes and configured integrations remain in the user-controlled environment or encrypted Rudder server state. Rudder does not copy an existing provider login into a central Rudder account. When a user asks an external runtime or integration to act, the data sent to that provider is governed by the user’s configuration and that provider’s privacy terms.

Rudder accounts

Creating a Rudder account is optional for local use. When a user creates or connects an account, Rudder processes the email address, authentication-provider identity, verification state, and device/session records needed to authenticate and secure the account. Passwords and provider credentials are not stored in plain text by Rudder.

Optional product analytics

Product analytics starts off. A user must explicitly choose anonymous or account-linked sharing before eligible events can leave the local installation. The Privacy & Telemetry settings show the current mode and allow consent to be revoked. Analytics payloads use allowlisted operational facts and pseudonymous identifiers. They do not include raw prompts, transcripts, titles, descriptions, URLs, email addresses, credentials, or local file contents. Account-linked mode uses an account-scoped identifier only after explicit consent. Revocation removes unsent events from older consent epochs.

Public website and documentation

Rudder’s public website and documentation may process standard request data such as IP address, browser and device information, referrer, page path, and timestamps. The public site may use VibeCafe analytics, and the documentation may use Google Analytics, to measure page usage and diagnose availability. These sites do not have access to local Rudder workspace content.

Data choices and contact

Users can keep product analytics off, revoke analytics consent in Rudder, sign out of account-linked sessions, and remove local Rudder data from their own installation. Requests about account data, deletion, or this policy can be sent to zeeland4work@gmail.com. Rudder may update this policy when data flows or providers change. Material changes will be reflected in this page and its last-updated date.
